Highlights

Poole Yacht Club GP14 Fleet are hosting the GP14 Association Southern Area Championships 2008 at the club in Poole in Dorset this year.

Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 June 2008 will give us favourable high tides and hopefully fair weather and good wind. For those of you that came to the Nationals in 2005, you will no doubt remember that we had brilliant sunshine but troublesome wind. For this event it has been decided to run 2/3 short races each day with a mass start – no fleets!

We hope that you will consider making the trip as we know it will be worth it. Bring the family as Poole and the surrounding area is well worth a visit. We are just along the coast from Weymouth which will host the sailing for the Olympics in 2012.

You can expect the same welcome as for the National and other opens we have held here and be sure that you will go away well fed and partied. Back by popular demand will be the Dorset Cream Teas and the party (free again) on Saturday night.

Speed Sails are generously donating a brand new spinnaker to be raffled off - if you are the lucky winner you can take your new spinnaker home with you.
