THE PLAN

Racing Side - The Plan

  • Sat 6 Aug Registration and Measuring etc.

  • The action starts on Sunday with a morning Practice Race

  • The practice Race is optional (about 25 minutes).

  • All other Races will last about 50 to 60 minutes duration.

  • Each boat will race in 2 races a day, starting at 12.00

  • Courses will be in Trapezoidal for a quick turnaround

  • Sunday to Thursday - Racing in Flights.

  • These will be Qualifying Race days.

  • Your chance to mix it with the best.

  • There will be 3 Flights maximum 

  • Each flight will have a maximum of 37 boats

  • Flights will be picked from previous days results.

  • Flights will start at 5 minute intervals.

  • Thursday and Friday - Racing in Fleets

  • 3 x Fleets consisting of Gold - Silver - Bronze

  • Again a maximum of 37 boats in each race.

  • You will now be competing with boats only in your Fleet.

Cruising Side - The Plan

  • Sat 6 Aug Registration

  • Sun 7 August kicks off a list including

  • Cruises Round all the Islands with Picnic Lunches

  • Cruising down the Frome river to Wareham.

  • Over to Long Island for a Barbecue on the beach.

  • Sail to Studland Bay for a pub lunch at The Bankes Arms

  • Cruises out of the harbour to Bournemouth

  • Bramble Bush Bay and far reaches of the harbour.

Social Side - The Plan

  • Sat 6 Aug - Commodores Welcome

  • Real Ale Night, Curry Night etc.

  • Sun 7 Aug - Social in the clubhouse (Quiz)

  • Mon 8 Aug - GP14 Class AGM followed by  a Barbeque

  • Tue 9 Aug - Tour of New RNLI building .

  • Wed 10 Aug - Walking Treasure Hunt round the old streets of Poole. (plenty of Pubs !)

  • Thu 11 Aug - Boat trips to View the Fireworks

  • Fri 12 Aug - Party Night - Prizegiving, Closing Ceremony, Live Band, Buffet etc.
