The northerly F3-4, shifting before the start had the course setters guessing and guessing wrong with hence no beat. 14 GPs sailed a processional race, at least at the front with White Knuckles holding off their main rivals in Talula & White Heat. Moby came in fourth ahead of The Big Floater with guest helm Jamie Thompson at the stick.

Twelve GP14s set out in a strong ebbing tide with F3 breezes. By making the best of the tide, Talula got a head start on the favourite (The Big Floater) holding them off throughout. Martin Murphy in Celtic Warrior looked good for third but the Brann's in White Heat recovered well from their poor start to pip them at the end.

Force 3-4, Sunshine but bitterly cold for the 9 GPs that left the slipway. With hardly any water it was strictly up and down the channel with Moby leading most of the race. The Brann's had other ideas and passed them before the end with White Knuckles staying third throughout. Definitely a race to witness from the bar but congratulations to those who braved it.

Only eight GP14s turned out on a mild evening for the first race of the season. The fickle breeze picked up to a Force 3 but from the off the Burge's (The Big Floater) were uncatchable. The race for second was more competitive with Mike and Martin (Talula) taking it.
